May 1st, 2014 – Denon, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-quality home entertainment products, is thrilled to announce the introduction of two new 2014 Network AV Receivers. Born from last year’s highly-acclaimed X series models, the new AVR-X2100W and AVR-X1100W deliver the latest Denon surround sound technology plus the ultimate in connectivity including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth at an affordable price. At the same time, Denon developed a new Eco mode featuring a unique power consumption management that adds to the company’s green environment policy. Both AVR entry-models will be available to purchase from June at selected Denon suppliers.

AVR-X1100W: feature-packed for home theatre newcomers

The AVR-X1100W 7.2ch Network AV Receiver already brings technology from Denon’s top-of-the-range AV models and offers amazing value. Seven channels each providing 145 watts, and the Denon engineering team’s many years of experience in amplifier design combine to make sure that the sound reaching the speakers is powerful, controlled and full of subtle detail. While offering the renowned audio quality, this year’s new X series AVRs come with a never-before-seen set of connectivity options. Most remarkably, even the entry-model already comes with built-in Wi-Fi to easily connect to a home network. Once connected, the AVR-X1100W opens up the living room to literally unlimited music sources and playback options. Users can stream their own music most conveniently from Apple iDevices via AirPlay, or access their music library on DLNA compatible devices like a network attached storage device (NAS). Moreover, you can choose from thousands of Internet Radio stations and enjoy music from Spotify via the latest Spotify Connect scheme (where available; subscriptions required). For total convenience, a front USB port can be used to connect either USB storage devices, or an iDevice to playback music and charge at the same time. To keep control of all those features, there is a Denon Remote App available for iOS and Android devices.
Taking a look at the video section, the AVR-X1100W owns in total 6 (one at the front) HDMI inputs that let you connect multiple HDMI source devices. The Blu-ray and Game inputs support 4K Ultra HD 60 Hz and 4:4:4 Pure Color video pass-through, a feature of the latest HDMI specification. The newcomer is of course also fully compatible with 3D content. The improved Setup Assistant and Graphical User Interface make it very convenient even for beginners to set up the device with its amazing roster of facilities.

AVR-X2100W: Full-grown for demanding yet price-conscious cinema lovers

Adding to its younger brother’s qualities, the AVR-X2100W features a power amplifier with 150 watts per channel to create even more stunning cinema sound and detailed music playback. With in total 8 HDMI inputs and 2 HDMI outputs, this AVR is ready to take over full control of even more digital devices such as Blu-ray players, game consoles, media player, video cameras and more at the same time. Equipped with a powerful video processor section, the AVR-X2100W features the ability to upconvert and transcode standard definition and high definition video sources up to 4k Ultra HD resolution, and even includes the ability to handle next-generation 4K Ultra HD 60 Hz sources and displays, for the ultimate viewing experience. A more extensive array of inputs, outputs and control options make the AVR-X2100W a truly versatile and grown-up AV control centre at an attractive price point.

Most remarkably, while offering such an amazing and powerful set of next-generation features, the new X series models come with a unique Denon Eco mode. It provides the ability to reduce overall power consumption and features an on-screen Eco Meter that lets you see the power consumption reduction effect. The Auto Eco mode automatically switches between normal and Eco modes, depending on the volume level chosen.

Discerning consumers will also appreciate the fact that the new receivers feature a full package of Audyssey audio technologies for optimal sound quality. Audyssey Dynamic Volume offers real-time volume adjustment, while Audyssey Dynamic EQ improves a system's surround sound effects at low volume levels. Audyssey MultEQ XT automatically calibrates speakers (including the subwoofer) to suit the room's listening environment and the speaker’s characteristics.

The two new X series AVRs are the perfect answer to today’s individual entertainment and connectivity needs at a very attractive price-point. They will be available in a black colour finish starting in June.
